Job Vacancies for 2025!!

Going into 2025, SYCP are excited to announce that we are looking to expand our staff team with 3 new job roles available!



Available roles are:


  • Family Wellbeing Lead (16 hours per week):


This individual must be someone who has a passion for people and who cares about helping others live fulfilling lives. To maintain the delivery of high-quality sessions and support for young people and families in Sacriston and the surrounding areas, including addressing immediate needs and identifying where individuals require additional support.


The successful candidate will have the ability and experience in coordinating and delivering holistic health and wellbeing support and have a good knowledge of identifying funding sources and funding applications. You will be responsible for the management of your wellbeing volunteers, budget, and monitoring of your projects.


Hours: 16 hours per week, Salary: £15.00 per hour, Contract term: 12 months fixed term, with the

potential to extend depending on funding.


  • Youth Worker (4 hours per week)


We are looking for a Youth Worker who has experience in youth work and can demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for working with children and young people.


They will be required to help deliver individual support, group work, detached work, and open-access youth clubs for children and young people aged 7-19 years. The sessions will include our new for 2025 (Tuesday night) Youth Café, offering young people aged 15 years and over a place to attend with friends, engage in activities, career advice, training, and more. You will also support one of our open-access sessions for Seniors.


Hours: 4 hours per week (working regular evenings and weekends when required), Salary: £12.50 per

hour sessional, Contract term: 12 months fixed term with the potential to extend depending on

funding.


  • Session Lead (3 hours per week)


As session lead, you will be involved in the planning and delivery of sessions and activities for our younger children. You will support and involve the children in activities that are playful, stimulating, and fun while promoting their development, and well-being and encouraging them to take an active role in their community.


The successful candidate will have the ability and experience in coordinating and delivering sessions and have a good knowledge of identifying funding sources and funding applications. You will be responsible for the management of your volunteers, budget, and monitoring of your projects.


Hours: 3 hours per week, Salary: £15.00 per hour sessional, Contract term: 12 months fixed term, with the potential to extend depending on funding.
