What a jam packed six weeks of summer fun it has been here at SYP! We have ran our sessions twice a week from 10am - 3pm and provided lunch from just £3 per child.
Our Wednesday holiday club sessions were onsite at Fyndoune and our Thursday sessions were offsite. We have been on various trips to Holmside Park, a mystery tour around Durham, a mad hatters and a superhero themed afternoon tea at Bespoke, the fire station and of course not to forget our 2 night residential to Dukeshouse Wood in Hexham.
Our onsite days have been just as fun, we been joined by a sports coach Gareth who has kept our kids entertained on an afternoon with lots of fun activities from football to tugs of war. We have spent sunny days in the park and on days when its been extra hot the paddling pools and super soakers have helped us to cool down. Our crafty juniors have been designing and making their own t-shirts, making stress balls and creating some beautiful artwork that we will be showcasing on our walls to brighten up our classroom.
Although we are sad that our summer of fun has come to an end, we are excited to see how our juniors flourish in their new year groups and new schools in September and we wish them all the very best of luck!
