Up-Cycling

🪑 The up-cycling workshop delivered for us by RecycLD is about taking on larger items for a project 🪑

🧘‍♂️ This week we spent some time practising to be patient 🧘‍♂️

⚡️ Our younger members have bags of energy but not so much patience and are always dying to get stuck in

👩🏼‍🏫 To teach practising patience we explained that the creative process takes time and requires

• preparation

• visualisation of an end product

• use of the right tools

• focus on brush strokes

📜 The children were kept on task by reminding them of the ground rules for the project.

🙇🏼‍♀️Once the children started their project they became really focussed, the concentration was intense. Everyone was so calm 🙇🏼‍♀️

🖌 We also spent time selecting the best paint bushes for the project.

🍩 The session ended with everyone scoffing donuts and sausage rolls which were donated by Greggs.

🤩 Our SYCP kids never cease to amaze us in our sessions.
