It’s the second week of our Woodwork workshop and everyone is a-ma-zing! 🤩🤩

👌🏻 The age of this group is 9-11 years old and their imagination and creative flair for their age is “on point!” 👌🏻

🤔 Last week the group were asked to think of design ideas they could work on 🤔

💝 The group chose to make end of term gifts for their teachers.

This involved:

✍️ Design of individual pieces

✍️ Transferring to wood their freehand drawing or tracing from original design

🎨 Decorating the wood with inks and acrylic paints,

👩🏼‍🏫🪚The group also had further learning about the safe use of tools, health and safety, the importance of listening to each other, listening to the tutor and following instructions 🦺👂🏻

🙌🏻 We have some very creative and talented young people at SYCP 🤗

🍩 The sessions ended with sausage rolls and donuts donated from Greggs bakery 😋
