Presenting… We Are Still Here!!

Over the summer months, some of our young people have been working closely with Emily Wiseman to create a spoken word poem that remembers and commemorates the local mining history of Sacriston.

The project was commissioned by Redhills Durham and Durham Miners' Association.

These young voices have brought fresh energy and deep respect to one of our region's proudest traditions. Their final video is not only a tribute to the past, but a powerful message for the future — full of heart, community, and hope

We couldn't be prouder of what they've achieved.
