Outdoor adventures at Weardale House

Updated: 7 hours ago

On 1st August, our young people headed to Weardale House for an action-packed day of outdoor adventure!

They challenged themselves to outdoor rock climbing, pushing themselves to reach new heights, before taking to the water for stand-up paddle boarding. There were plenty of laughs, a few splashes, and lots of determination as everyone stepped outside their comfort zone and gave it their all.

Days like today are about so much more than the activities. They build confidence, resilience, teamwork and friendships, while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to Durham Association of Boys and Girls Clubs (DABGC) for making opportunities like this possible, and to the fantastic team at Weardale House for delivering such a brilliant day.

Most of all, well done to every one of our amazing young people. You represented Sacriston Youth Project brilliantly, showed great courage and encouraged one another throughout the day.

We couldn't be prouder!
