Forest School/Allotment Holiday Club

Service Description

The Forest School ethos supports children to develop self-esteem, independence and confidence through outdoor child-led play in nature. Forest School takes a holistic approach to learning and development and offers a mixture of learning the skills of problem solving and creativity as well as some more specific bush craft style skills (e.g. knot tying, tree climbing, fire lighting and tool use). At Forest School we foster a deep connection and love of nature, through play and observations through the seasons in woodland areas. Children and young people are given time and space to explore and discover things for themselves, as well as the Forest School Leader having a range of learning and creating opportunities available to engage with if they chose to. Our Forest School Leader and support staff will be on hand to guide and reassure.
